  • Albuquerque, NMWith a population of 552,804, Albuquerque is thelargest city in the state of New Mexico. The real estatemarket is in recovery with increased home sales foralmost two years. Home prices, however, have yet torecover significantly. The median sales price in Maywas up, increasing 4% from to $175,000 from$168,000 in May 2012.
  • 708 homes sold in May 2013, up from 630 in May 2012.That’s a 12% increase in home sales. View slide
  • 78 foreclosures sold in 2013, down from 101 in 2012.That’s a 23% decrease in foreclosure sales. View slide
  • 57 short sales closed in 2013, down from 71 in 2012.That’s a 20% decrease in short sales.
  • 571 fair market sales closed in May 2013, up from 458 in May 2012.That’s a 25% increase.
  • Rio RanchoThe city of Rio Rancho is located NW of Albuquerque. Witha population of 87,521, Rio Rancho is the third largest city inNew Mexico. Residents of Rio Rancho enjoy the goodschools and low crime rate in the area. Intel is located in thesoutheastern part of town and is the largest employer. Themedian sales price was $150,000, down 8% in May 2013from $163,000 in May 2012.
  • 183 homes sold in May 2013, up from 138 sales in May 2012.That’s an increase of 33%.
  • 54 foreclosure homes sold in 2013, up from 23 in 2012.That’s a 154% increase.
  • 9 short sales closed in 2013, down from 22 in 2012That’s a 59% decrease.
  • East MountainsThe east mountain area is made up of CedarCrest, Edgewood, Sandia Park and Tijeras. Ingeneral, the properties are located on largerlots, many of which have beautiful views ofthe east side of the Sandia Mountains.
