In an effort to encourage more distressed homeowners to sell their
homes as short sales and prevent foreclosures, Bank of America is
offering up to $30,000 in relocation incentives.
The bank began testing this incentive program in Florida in the fall of
2012. About 11,000 homeowners participated. Short sale
homeowners in Florida who were not able to participate can now
apply for this new incentive.

3. Bank of America’s will pay its borrowers anywhere from
$2,500-$30,000 in relocation incentives once the short sale is
finalized.
The bank will also waive the difference between the amount of the
short sale and the unpaid mortgage, allowing the homeowner to walk
away from the home debt-free.

4. The incentive will be based on the value of the home and the amount
of mortgage. To qualify for this incentive, the Lakeland Fl short sale
must have been initiated last year and close by September 26, 2013.
The homeowner must also get a pre-approved sale price from the
bank before submitting a purchase offer.
