Born in Torino (Italy), where he lives, in 1947, received his degree in Electronics Engineering summa cum laude in 1970 from the Politecnico of Turin. From 1970 to 2001 he worked in CSELT, the Research Center of the main Italian Telecom operator (now Telecom Italia) as researcher and research manager. His main activity was in the field of state-of-the-art digital switching systems and techniques for the new Telecom network. He was also a specialist of high-speed digital electronics and related circuit simulation tools. In this last field he developed innovative algorithms (DWN) for fast computer modeling and simulation of electronic circuits and systems.
