Global Recession Effects Placements and packages of IIM Graduates - Presentation Transcript

    1. Global Recession Effects Placements and Packages Of IIM Graduates
      • IIM graduates are no exception to global meltdown. The global scenario is getting so worse that even fresh graduates from the leading and prestigious institutions like IIM (Indian Institute of Management) are finding it difficult to get a right package. Global meltdown did not spare even the placements of IIM graduates that would have been a hot topic. Yes, the average package offered to IIM graduates declined by 23% this year compared to 2008.
      • When compared to the domestic average package of Rs.1.64 million, and the highest offer of Rs.6.5 million last year (2008), the domestic average package for IIM-C grads this year stood at INR 1.27 million with the highest being INR 6 million per year. The average international salary package is USD 86,785 per year, and the highest offer is USD 130,000.
