Vientiane Tourism Division Promotes Visit Laos Year 2012
VIENTIANE, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- Vientiane Tourism Division hosted a meeting to
encourage tourism related entrepreneurs to participate in the promotion of Visit Laos
Year 2012, by ensuring proper provision of tourist products and service.
At the meeting, representatives of hotels, guesthouses, tour companies were urged
to participate in organising the 5th tourism festival for five central provinces, the 9th
ASEM Summit and Asean Tourism Forum 2013.
Director of the Vientiane Tourism Division, Khampadith Khemmanith said Laos is a
pure and exotic country of great natural beauty - rich in culture, history, temples,
and strong spiritual traditions, according to Laotian news agency (KPL) on Tuesday.
He called on Lao people to act as ambassadors of their country's culture and
traditions, and to display the warmth and hospitality that greatly contribute to Laos'
reputation as a sought after tourist destination.
