  • 2. <ul><li>About the ESPNRISE NHSI </li></ul><ul><li>Format </li></ul><ul><li>Dates & Television Coverage </li></ul>The National High School Invitational (NHSI) is the premiere post-season tournament for boys and girls high school basketball teams. In April 2009, the inaugural NHSI featured the top teams in the country including a standing-room-only final match-up of the top two teams in the nation (#1 Oak Hill vs. #2 Findlay Prep). The 2010 NHSI event will see another star-studded field and top-notch High School Basketball action. Over 10,000 fans </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>attended the three day event. All ten tournament games were televised live across </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>In addition the event received major media coverage via ESPN , Sports Illustrated , USA </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Today and the Washington Post among others. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>#1 Oak Hill Academy (VA) was defeated by #2 Findlay Prep (NV) 74-66 in the Boys’ </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Championship game broadcasted on ESPN. In a thrilling final minute, #2 seed Seton </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Keough (MD) defeated #1 seed Riverdale Baptist (MD) 44-42 on ESPN2 in the Girls’ </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Championship Game. </li></ul></ul>Teams will be chosen for the NHSI by the ESPN RISE Selection Committee on the basis on a variety of factors including final ESPN RISE FAB 50 rankings. <ul><li>Projected Top Ten teams in ESPN RISE Fab 50 </li></ul><ul><li>pre-season Rankings: </li></ul><ul><li>Findlay Prep (NV) </li></ul><ul><li>Oak Hill (NJ) </li></ul><ul><li>St. Benedict’s (NJ </li></ul><ul><li>Montrose Christian (MD) </li></ul>
