6. The mountains proved to be the border for the original colonies. The
colonists kept moving west till they hit the mountains, at which point
they figured that they’d stop at the foot of the mountains. People
sooner or later made their way past/over the mountains.

8. The Mayflower Compact was the first set of
laws written in the New World. Almost half of
the colonists were part of a separatist group
seeking the freedom to practice Christianity
according to their own determination and not
the will of the English Church. promising to live
in peace with each other and to work for the
common good, before they set foot in
Plymouth. It was signed on November 11,
1620 by 41 of the ship's 101 passengers

10. The New England Confederation consisted of
Connecticut, New Haven, Plymouth, and Massachusetts
Bay Colony. The organization was to be composed of two
delegates from each of the four member colonies. Six of
the eight votes were necessary to adopt any measure.
Regular annual meetings were to be held, but additional
conferences could be called in cases of emergency.
