THE FOLLOWING BLOG IS A MEDIUM OF COMMUNICATION FOR PARENTS OF
STUDENTS IN MS. LOBAINA AND MS. DELVA’S TECHNOLOGY CLASS.
2. Why is technology so important in
today education?
Did you know there is 10 reason why technology is so important in education?
1. If technology is being used correctly it can help prepare students for their future career (Wainwright, 2015).
2. Integrating technology into the classroom is definitely is a great way to reach diversity (Wainwright, 2015).
3. It gives student a chance to interact with classmates/ collaboration (Wainwright, 2015).
4. It also helps teachers prepare students for the real world, in which becomes increasingly more technology-
dependent, and it becomes even more necessary to be successful citizens (Wainwright, 2015).
5. Integrating technology helps you stay engage, as well students today love technology, so they are interested in
learning more (Wainwright, 2015).
6. Classrooms are happier place, and students are apt to learn more (Wainwright, 2015).
7. Mobile technology is readily available in many classrooms; therefore, students are able to access the most up to
date information quicker and easier (Wainwright, 2015).
8. There is also traditional passive learning mold which is broken, in which technology in the classroom becomes
encourager, adviser, and coach (Wainwright, 2015).
9. Students tend to be more responsible, and it helps them to take more control over their own learning, as well
decision making (Wainwright, 2015).
10. As well students can have access to digital textbooks that are constantly updated and often more vivid, helpful
and creative, and at the same time cheaper than old heavy books (Wainwright, 2015).
3. The importance to interact with your
children when technology is involve.
Interacting is important to do at all time
with your children at every given time.
However, many parents out there don’t
know how technology can be a big part
of many kids out there.
Parents should be updated in a daily
basis with the new technology, and how
many teachers are posting new
information on the computer for their
students. Such as assignments that are
due, or as simple as a blog that can help
students understand their homework. This
will be a time for collaboration with your
children at home.
4. Parental Guidance
Many parents should know how to keep their
children from going to specific website that
are underage, and should know how to block
them in order to prevent their children by
attending the wrong page.
Parents should be informed on what are the
information their children are asked to look up
for.
Many parents out there are not up to date
with any new software, and should not be
afraid to ask their children teachers on how to
follow up with any information given to their
children for assignments.
5. How fun can
technology be?
Technology can be used in
many different ways nowadays.
Many students can use their cell
phone’s as a form of a
computer in order to attend
class, as well as their tablets.
There are different type of
software programs that can be
downloaded to their device,
and can be used for their
classroom.
There is even software programs
that can teach on even how to
write, by writing on your tablet
with a stylus.
6. Smart Phones
Smart phones are the way to go in
technology, and it is being used very
much in classrooms. It is a piece of
device in which you can easily place
on your desk, and look up information
if necessary when being asked for in
the classroom.
However, parents should be keeping
track of their children cell phones, and
make sure everything is safe.
7. Computers
Computers have been the best
invention other then books, and it has
open the horizon to many children out
there. It is growing everyday, and it is
the future of today.
