Tami Clark
Meet Tami Clark, the tie-dye lover with an infectious personality and razor sharp
business sense. This self-proclaimed businesswoman may have a tendency to learn
things the hard way, but her three-decade sales experience, utter determination, and
fascinating journey makes learning of her success that much sweeter.
Tami has always had a jovial spirit. At 17, she married Steve, her rebel equal, and
together they experienced adventurous travels that included hitch-hiking across
country and becoming fanatics at attending rock concerts. Tami praises Steve for
helping her overcome an emotional and painful experience, when in 1996 she was
diagnosed with a spinal condition which confined her to a wheelchair. Since her
recovery, Tami's courage to persevere is the highest level of inspiration, though if you
ask her, she credits her thirty-something year marriage to Steve her real inspiration.
It was during Tami's recovery when she began focusing on the idea of providing an
affordable and results oriented weight loss destination. She approached Michelle and
Cameron Kelsch, former co-workers who became fast friends when they met in 2001.
The three quickly joined forces and in August 2002, started their own company where
each provided their own area of expertise. Tami's professional talent and fun-loving
character made her popular with customers and business associates. She is an idea
person, is very creative and works best "behind-the-scenes". Her strong business
reputation, effectiveness in sales and reservations, and extraordinary people skills,
would greatly contribute to the company's growth. She managed all city and financial
negotiations, and in 2006 when the company changed its name and completed its new

facility, it was Tami who managed the building and construction projects from start to
finish.
Today, Tami loves supporting the friendly, family environment at The Resort. When she
is not negotiating the latest contract or attending a city meeting, this hippie-inspired
woman embraces the concept of a "greener planet" and asks herself daily how she can
be a better wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. When looking to the future
for other opportunities, Tami will rely on her vivacious spirit, and when projects arise,
you can bet people will rally around her to get the job done.
Michelle Kelsch
Michelle has been energetic her entire life. Growing up in American Fork, Utah by
parents who set an example of hard work and the importance of exercise, Michelle was
learning to play the violin at the age of 3, eagerly took a summer job in Wyoming at 14,
and was active in dance and cheerleading throughout high school. In her senior year,
Michelle experienced management responsibilities and earned enough money to go to
college, all while balancing her nearly perfect GPA and graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Michelle received her first certification through Aerobics and Fitness Association of
America (AAFA) as a group instructor and taught various fitness classes throughout
college. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Fitness & Wellness Management in just
three years. Michelle has since been certified in step, cycling, kickboxing, practiced as a
Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor, and has taught at a number of fitness centers
and exclusive resorts
Following graduation and marriage to Cameron, her high school sweetheart, and now
business partner, Michelle knew she wanted to apply her entrepreneurial spirit in the
fitness industry. During their employment at an elite Utah resort, Michelle and Cameron
met Tami Clark. The three got their heads together, and in 2002, joined forces to start
their own company. Each owner offered a unique business element, including Michelle's
energy and fitness passion, both which were easily applied as an instructor and lecture
host, as well as program coordinator for all guest activities. In 2007, as the company
evolved into a successful weight loss destination, Michelle, Cameron, and Tami built a
new fitness center, retail shop, salon, and guest housing and renamed their company
"Fitness Ridge Resort & Spa". That same year, they received international recognition as
one of the top 10 spas in the world.
Michelle draws her strength from her family and her faith. As a mother of six children,
active member in her community, and successful business owner, she practices life
balances every day. She remains enthusiastic about helping incorporate a fit lifestyle,
and equally important, about helping others become better educated in health and
nutrition. When looking to the future for other opportunities, Michelle is optimistic, and
without a doubt, will rely on her energy to get her through the next phase.
Cameron Kelsch
Cameron has a great ease about him. His spontaneous, positive outlook and laid back,
in-the-moment demeanor makes him approachable with both employees and guests.
Raised in a large family by parents that illustrated hard work and discipline, Cameron
became a self-starter early on. He packed a lot of business experience during his
decade career, and often did it while balancing studies at Dixie State College. He
learned business relationships while working at a recruiting firm and was exposed to
corporate business during employment at one of the largest tire sellers in the world.
Cameron learned firsthand what it took to be a business owner from his father, who
operated his own business for many years. When Cameron married his high school
sweetheart, and now business partner, Michelle, they knew they wanted to create a
fitness experience and weight loss destination. Though active his entire life, Cameron
rarely followed an exercise routine. With Michelle's encouragement and support,
Cameron soon incorporated exercise regularly. He now loves wakeboarding, basketball,
cycling, and has competed in two St. George marathons.
Cameron and Michelle met Tami Clark in 2001, when they were all employed at a Utah
fitness resort. In 2002, they created a partnership to start their own company. Each
owner presented a unique business component. Cameron's energy, people skills, and
overall business management was vital during the growing stages. His family roots of
hard work and discipline gave Cameron the approach to help with the business on any
level. He was a hike guide, assisted in the kitchen, and helped with building the
company's website. To lend a hand with fitness classes, Cameron became certified with
Aerobics Fitness Association of America (AFAA) as a Personal Trainer.
In 2007, as the company evolved into a successful weight loss destination, Michelle,
Cameron, and Tami built a new fitness center, retail shop, salon, and guest housing
