This is the slide deck produced for our Values and Value Creation class in Quarter 2 at Bainbridge Graduate Institute. All of the slides were designed in Photoshop CS5.5 and imported into PowerPoint.
Hello, we’re [introduce ourselves], and together, we are BOP Rising. Take a second and commit this number, 4.3, to memory. This number is significant because this is the number of medical professionals in millions we are short of serving the global need.

The countries with access to medical attention have myriad choices. Whether they are doctors, alternative medicine practitioners, or whatever…the privileged have a choice. In places more affected the the lack of medical attention, there are several people in need vying for attention when they need it most.
Traditionally, this challenge has been approached with the idea that Western medicine has all the answers. We give “aid,” we give “help.” We often talk, but rarely listen. Sending people over into a country to solve a problem is often short-sighted, under funded, and unsustainable.
We think communication is best when we take the collaborative approach, learning in a more organic manner. Diversity of thought is critical in developing creative solutions to complex problems.
So where do we start? First, are we even asking the right questions? We tend to be guided by assumptions. We approach problems thinking from the perspective that we already have the answers. Do we really? The 5 Why’s…Toyota Kata…Kazien are all ways to deepen our understanding of the root cause of issues. We hope to use the power of collaboration and cross-cultural education to address the increasing medical concerns.

Explain the significance of each of these post-its. Tell the story of how we plan to solve the problem, run the organization, and finance our operations.
Conclude by describing what we’ve gone over and what we hope to do next…
