  3. 3. ABOUT PCMC The Philippine Children’s Medical Center is one of the government- owned and controlled corporate National Centers for Specialized Health Care under the Department of Health. It is a 200-bed capacity tertiary hospital with a mandate to provide pediatric care, offer training programs for medical and allied health care providers, and be a center in clinical research. ABOUT WALLS OF HOPE Walls of Hope is a private initiative organized to restore the colorful murals in the Philippine Children’s Medical Center. A C Our vision is to gather a community of hospital staff and T volunteers who will be working together to bring back the hope that PCMC’s walls have been known to give its patients and visitors throughout the years. S H The project is a 3-day event scheduled to happen on December E 19-21, 2009 at the hospital grounds. It will be capped off by an E art exhibit on the 22nd of December to show our gratitude to all T the volunteers and donors who have helped us make Walls of Hope happen! 2
