Lymphatic Filariasis is caused by thread-like parasitic worms which belong to the species Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi and B.Timori. Endemic normal (EN) patients elicit Th1, CP (Chronic pathology) patients elicit both Th1 (Helper T cells type 1) and Th2 (Helper T cells type 2) and MF (Microfilariamics) patients elicit Th2 immune response. In this study; firstly, cytokine analysis was done in the lymph and serum of the same CP patients using the Bio-Plex Cytokine Assay instrument. Secondly, an antibody analysis was done on the CP subjects in their lymph and serum samples to determine the antibody responses of these patients against Bancroftian filariasis. Thirdly, an antigenic analysis was also done on the test samples with the Top-Bio kit. Finally the statistics was done between the lymph and its corresponding serum of CP patients along with the serum of EN patients using the Man Whitney non parametric t-test which will help in understanding the Th1/Th2 paradigm and the up regulation and down regulation of the antibodies that are regulated by certain cytokines in such CP patients. Also this data would help in understanding the probable therapeutic cytokines which would be administered in various individuals facing some or the other pathological conditions.
