1. Centralized Power House Automation using WAP
ABSTRACT:
This project “Centralized Power House Automation” designed
using the PIC Embedded Microcontroller aids in the measurement of
Various Power station Parameters like voltage, current and provides a serial
interface to the PC. All these parameters can be sent to a remote mobile
phone as an SMS Message, Through which the information reaches the
higher authorities like AE. This Project also supports Automatic Prediction
and Self Protection. For eg if a Transformer gets Over Heated, then
automatically the Loads will get Tripped Off.
WAP:
Any abnormal situations such as tripping of loads, fire accidents can
be sent to a remote mobile phone as an SMS Message. This SMS message
is received by the higher authorities to take necessary actions. The tool used
for sending SMS is NOKIA 3310 GSM phone. The mobile is connected to
the PC via a Rs232 serial port.
The front end software written in Visual basic 6.0 communicates
with the phone using nokia protocols to send the SMS Messages.
