Spiral Ornament

You will need these items per ornament.

1) Three old Christmas Card

2) Floral wires about 10-12 inches long

3) Two small ¼” beads with small holes per ornament

Steps to Make the Spiral Ornament

   1. Cut the fronts from the three Christmas cards.
   2. If the care fronts are not the same size, cut the cards to the same size.
   3. Cut the cards lengthwise from bottom to top (about ½” wide strips)…..keep the strips in order
      as you cut them.
   4. Using a push pin put a small hole in the bottom and top of each strip (about ¼” from the edge).
Note: It will be easier to thread the wire if you push the pin from front to back for the bottom
hole and from back to front for the top hole. Set strips aside.
   5. Thread a small bead onto the floral wire and secure the bead so it won’t fall off.
   6. Now thread the bottom end of each cut strip (keeping them in order) onto the floral wire above
      the bead.
   7. Once all strips at threaded at the bottom you will then start to thread the top of each strip in
order. Example: the first strip threaded on the bottom will also be the first one threaded using
the top punched hole. Proceed in order until all strips are on the wire.
   8. Thread the second small bead above the card strips.
   9. Push the top and bottom of the ornament together to make the shape you want and secure the
bead so it will not come off. You can make a wire loop at the top that will be used to hang the
      ornament.
   10. Spread the card strips open around to make a spiral ornament.
