Salta

  1. 1. Salta is a province of Argentina, located in the northwest ofthe country. Neighboring provinces are from the eastclockwise Formosa, Chaco, Santiago delEstero, Tucumán and Catamarca. It also surrounds Jujuy. Tothe north it borders Bolivia and Paraguay and to the westlies Chile.
  2. 2. Climate: The province is located on the tropic of Capricorn,and receives both tropical and temperate influences. Thereare five main climates in the province: the climate of theImpenetrable to the east, the Yungas, the climate of lowvalleys (Valles Calchaquies, Valle de Lerma), the climate ofthe Altiplano, and the climate of the highest peaks.

  4. 4. ∗ Salta is one of the most beautiful province of Argentina. There are colorful mountains, there are animals that we can not find here, and a foods typical from Salta.∗ In Salta there is a train that is called “tren de las nubes”(train of clouds). There you can see all the landscape .
  5. 5. ∗ One of the typical food in Salta is called “Empanadas Salteñas” that is a mass of flour and inside you can put, chicken, meat, jam and cheese, sweetcorn, and a lot of other types. Another food is sweetcorn or salad corn. Is sweetcorn in pieces, cheese and sugar. All this you put it in the corn ear.
  6. 6. ∗ The advantage of Salta is the population , there are a lot of people all the year.∗ The traditional foods are eaten by all tourists.
  7. 7. ∗ The disadvantage is that there are a lot of people that are poor and that causes more pollution.
  8. 8. ∗ In Salta you can do a lot of things, trekking , that is walking in the mountains, rappel, you go down a mountain with a rope and riding horses.∗ You can also go fishing, lakes are beautiful, but with the climate some of them have no water.
