How do you attract attention and communicate with your market? Ads are an expensive way to find and grow your customers, brand and sales, but social media has changed everything and made it so much easier to contact your prospect and grow your audience. BUT there is a race to get media attention, because the cost of acquiring your customer can knock you out of the game, unless your marketing is good and better than everyone else in your market. So what is the solution for how to get in front of the people that can sustain your business. The answer is that you build your following as suggested in our quote from the interview we did recently and will be included in Paid To Think Business Magazine. “It's a system of using editorial content and editorial presentation in order to attract marketing reach and get more exposure and visibility for your brand. So an editorial would be like a weekly podcast show on iTunes, or a weekly web TV show on Google Hangout, or maybe a weekly blog post on any of the blogging platforms. Now whether it's the written word, which is blogging, spoken word which is audio, or visual word which is video, it doesn't matter as long as it's weekly; in some cases it's daily and it's done consistently without change. The editorial method of distribution is the free part of content. Within that editorial show you become your own sponsor and you can have an offer to get people to opt in and subscribe as a result of listening to your show. It starts off by being your own sponsor because you’re paying for it. Eventually as you get more exposure and reach and visibility, you can start having sponsors pay you, because now they want to be part of that, to borrow your authority, borrow your exposure, marketing reach and visibility. There are two ways to do it and we recommend both. One is to have your own weekly show on your topic within your market niche. Where do you find market niches? You can go to dummies.com and look up niches that are for buyers, not just browsers. You can go to magazines.com and look up all the titles of magazines or clickbait.com, where people are buying those are all niches and all great places. If you go to iTunes, there are certain categories that you can follow, whether it's in health and fitness, money and finance, you find a niche that you know something about. What's most important is to have this weekly show, week after week after week and not quit. One of my friends, John Lee, runs EOFIRE.COM,
- 14. entrepreneur on fire, and he does a daily show; he has several podcasts. He says that most people quit after seven shows. So if you do the eighth show, which is our goal, with Push Button Influence, you are in the top 10 percentile of all thought leaders in any topic of interest. So one way is to create a show and have a weekly show and no matter if people show up or not, you’re still repurposing that show and getting out there in the transcribed format, in audio format, and if there's video, you can put it up on various different video sites, YouTube being one of them, LinkedIn being another and so on and so forth.
