The boys varsity golf team participated in the Taft RedRaiders Shootout this past Monday.Out of 16 teams the boys came in 4th with a team total of357.Leading the way and shooting a 80 was Billy Houston whichput him tied for 5th out of 154 participants.Calvin Bass netted a 87, Richard Rubio 93, Joseph Jones 97and Ralph Gomez 101.The weather conditions were wet but the boys held ittogether and played quite well.
This past weekend, Friday and Saturday, 24 and 25February, Charles Griffin, Senior at Clemensparticipated in the 2012 UIL State Swim Meet.Charles swam the 100 Backstroke.He swam a personal best on Friday, with a time of :54.13. in theChampionship heat in Saturdays finals.He swam another personal best with a time of :54.10 earninghim 8th place at this years State Swim meet.
