2. Ceremonials
The majority of the album cover is dark including
the background and her costume choice to
highlight her red hair. This stands out and
makes the audience recognise it instantly as she
is one of the few female artists with red hair. This
also matches her red lipstick making the
audience focus on her face. Her facial expression
suggests that it is quite a mysterious album yet
meaningful as she has her eyes closed and is
touching her arm as if she is upset about
something.
Although her dress is quite monotone, it
stands out as it is sparkly suggesting that
the album has something special about it;
something other albums don’t have. This
will entice the audience to buy it leading
them to become familiar with her music and
buy her future work.
This is a mid-shot however has been made original
by having replicated the image for different views of
her suggesting that there is more to her than other
artists. This suggests that the album has varied
types of songs showing her different personalities
bringing more to it.
3. 4 Deluxe Edition
Her costume will be seen differently by males and
females. To the male audience, this will be seen as
an attractive and revealing photo immediately
grabbing their attention and persuading them to buy
it. To a female audience, her costume choice will be
seen as stylish, showing off her curved figure;
something that is admired by women rather than
super skinny. To them, this will be something to
idolise her by as she has not been drawn into the
very slim figure every woman ‘should have’.
A long/mid shot has been used to give the
audience a good view of the artist. The
background is neutral making her red
jewelled costume and album name stand out
so you can’t miss it on the shelves.
The artist is not looking at the camera, but
instead is looking into the distance with her
hand on her head. This gives a secretive feel to
the album suggesting that it will be unexpected
and different to any other album by a female
artist. In addition to this, her outfit is made of
red jewels suggesting that her music is royal
and the best it can be.
