 Provide experiences for the student teachers to
meet the parents of the pupils through PTA
meetings,school functions attended by parents
and home visits.
 Schedule homeroom parent-teacher
conferences.
 Guide student teachers to take note about
parents' expectation of their children and
teachers.

and professional in their interactions with
parents at all times.
 Counsel student teachers to practice
confidentiality with matters concerning
confidential issues about the pupils and
their parents.

 Student teachers should develop close
relations with the various community
agencies.

 Encourage student teachers to attend and
participate in civics, cultural and social activities in
the community.
 Help student teachers to take note of the
mores,customs and social values of the people of
the community where they are assigned to teach.
 Make student teachers awarethat they should
dress,speak and act in a way that is acceptable to
the decency and propriety of the community.

 Counsel the student teachers to show interest in thw
welfare of the children and the people but refrain
from prying into their private and personal
concerns.
 Counsel them to avoid a know-it-all attitude,
remembering to learn from other people and
agencies in the community.
 Help student teachers be aware of practices in
interacting with community people;avoiding being
aloof or too intimate.
