30 Seconds to Mars is an American alternative rock band formed in 1998 in Los Angeles by brothers Jared and Shannon Leto. The band's current members are Jared Leto, Shannon Leto, and Tomo Milicevic. 30 Seconds to Mars has received over 80 awards from 145 nominations for their music. Some of their most awarded singles include "The Kill" and "Kings and Queens". Their albums include 30 Seconds to Mars, A Beautiful Lie, This Is War, and Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams.

Alternative Rock Band Formed By The Vocalist Jared

Solon Bixler (Now De Great Northern) And Kevin

The Band Was Formed In 1998 In Los Angeles,
California By Brothers Leto, Principal Founder Jared
Leto (Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keyboard), And His Older
Brother Shannon Leto (Drums). 30 Seconds To Mars
Began As A Duo, With Only A Family Project, But
Things Started To Work Quite Quickly And Soon Matt
Watcher Joined The Band As Bassist, Would Like
Solon Bixler On Rhythm Guitar And Later Also
Guitarist Kevin Drake (Although The Permanence Of
The Latter Would Be Considerably Less). Shortly
After Completing The Training, Guitarist Kevin Drake
Left The Band Due To Issues Primarily Related To
Tourism.

The August 31, 2006 The Band Won The Mtv2 Award For Her Single "The Kill". The
October 26, 2006 At The Mtvu Woodie Awards, The Band Won Best Video Woodie:
Live Action, "The Kill". Leto Of 30 Seconds To Mars In Concert.
In January 2007, A Beautiful Lie, The Second Album Of The Band, Was Certified
Platinum. On August 8, 2007, Kerrang! Announced That 30 Seconds To Mars Had
Been Nominated For Two Categories Of The Kerrang! Awards 2007, Best
International Breakthrough Artist And Best Single: "The Kill". On August 24, Only
Received The Award For Best Single, Which Was "The Kill", The Other Award Was
Lost To Madina Lake. The April 14, 2007, The Band Won The Award For Best New
Artist At The TRL Awards. The April 29, 2007, The Band Won Best Rock Video And
Video Of The Year For His Single "The Kill" At The MTV Video Music Awards In
Australia. On November 1, 2007, The Band Won The MTV Europe Music Awards
For "Rock Out" In One Of The Two Categories In Which They Were Nominated. The
December 21, 2007, 30 Seconds To Mars Won Fuse Best Of 2007 Award, Won In
Competition Against Korn And Had Amassed Over 7 Million Votes. 31 Bands And
Artists Such As Muse, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance And Avenged Sevenfold
Were Also Included In The Contest.

Breakthrough In The Bandit Rock Awards In Stockholm, Sweden. On
August 2, 2008, 30 Seconds To Mars Won The Video Star By The
Music Video "A Beautiful Lie" At MTV Asia Awards 2008 In Genting,
Malaysia. The August 21, 2008, 30 Seconds To Mars Won Two Of The
Four Kerrang! Of Which Were Nominated For, The Band Won Best
International Band And Best Single "From Yesterday". The October 16,
2008 He Won Best International Rock Artist In The Los Premios MTV
Latin America, 2008. On November 6, 2008, Hosted The VIP Section
MTV Europe Music Awards, Interviewing The Likes Of Kid Rock,
Anastacia And Sugababes. He Added To His Collection With An MTV
EMA Video Star By "A Beautiful Lie" And The Rock Out Award.
In January 2009, "A Beautiful Lie" Video Was Certified Gold By Mtv
International. In July 2010 The Band Won Best International Band At
The Kerrang! Awards 2010. The September 12, 2010, The Band Won
Best Rock Video For Her Single "Kings And Queens" At The 2010 MTV
Video Music Awards. November 7, 2010 Was Won Best Rock Band
Award At The 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards.
On June 9, 2011, 30 Seconds To Mars Was Named Best International Band
And Best Single With Their Song "Hurricane" In Kerrang! , 2011.
