A keyword is a term that captures the main gist of the topic in any of the document. These are
the words which are used to retrieve documents or website from search engines. This is the

words against which search strings are matched in the search engines. Thus choosing the right

1. On your website the content is written in the form of articles. For getting keywords from
those articles make a list of words which describe that article perfectly. Like for an article

5. After getting this information you can select the proper keyword which is searched most
and which can give you the best possible result.
a. Under normal circumstances ‘keyword phrase’ which are having competition
level of 0.05 or less and monthly search volume 1000 or above.
b. This way you can have 3-5 keywords. And then these keywords should be used at
all places in the article.

Keyword Density
Percentage of time a keyword or the phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number
of words on that page. So it can be calculated as:
((No. of time keyword occurrence * 100) / Total no. of words)

2. The keyword density that should be ideally maintained is 2-3% which is good for SEO’s
perspective as well.
Keyword Stuffing:
Search Engines while indexing the website checks the words. If the same keyword is used many
times to manipulate the search engine ranking then it is considered as keyword stuffing. This
should be avoided as it does harm the rankings rather than proving useful.
