precision viscometers catered towards biomedical and pharmaceutical companies.
Recently, we concluded a sale to Perseid, a daughter company of Astellas
Pharmaceuticals. We were able to offer a substantial discount to Perseid during the end
of the year with a stipulation that the sale had to be concluded by the end of the year.
Even though the paperwork was completed in Redwood City, CA, we were regretfully
informed that Astellas shut down for 2 weeks and there was no way the PO could be
issued. Needless to mention, this put the year-end numbers in jeopardy for us. That is
where JoAnn Swank came into play and her contribution was most crucial. JoAnn called

of the PO. Even though the office was closed, she came in to handle time-sensitive
matters. I am in awe to see such dedication from someone who certainly takes her job so
seriously. I am in customer service myself as a sales engineer and I do know that the
reason we have been successful is not simply due to the excellence of our product, rather
the superb customer service that we have been able to provide. I would rate JoAnn at the
top of my list in terms of customer service that I received from other places. Her
professional demeanor, competent organizational skills and innate ability to swiftly work
through the maze of complex accounting process to issue the PO were nothing shy of
truly outstanding. In my business, unfortunately, I have had the misfortune of dealing
with many individuals who display sheer lack of enthusiasm and insouciance to offer
assistance. JoAnn completely defies those odds. Due to her efficient, prompt and

saved my reputation to my boss. I would like to end this endorsement letter with an
acknowledgement that JoAnn did not have to do this on her day off, but she went out of
her way to make this happen! Such commitment to customer service is non-existent
nowadays. I believe JoAnn is an asset to your company and I aspire her continued
success and excellence. Without a vital limb (metaphorically) like JoAnn, Astellas would
