Magazine covers thatinspire meThe Kerrang magazine covers have inspired me as they seem to look busy. Also the style of the masthead inspires me as it’s a smashed effect that connotates that the magazine is for teenagers. The colours help to connotate that this is a teenager’s magazine as they are dark colours, the dark colours also connotate that this is a rock genre magazine. The NME magazine covers have also inspired me as the photo covers the whole page so the target audience know what the main article is about. Also the style of the text has also inspired me as the text ‘insane’ and ‘lily Allen takes on the world’ gives me a feeling of a rock magazine due to the style. It is also easy to find out what other articles in the magazine are about because of the way they are placed on the cover.

Target audienceFor mymagazine cover, I have decided that my target audience will be teenagers who are into alternative and indie music. I had chosen this target audience because I can relate to them. I also know about what attracts this target audience in a magazine so that I have some idea of how to make my magazine attract this target audience.I have a few examples of the types of magazines my target audience read. I can use these magazine covers for inspiration when designing my magazineHere I have examples of what my target audience wear. Such as checkered jackets and converse shoes. I can use these pieces of clothing on the person I will use in my magazine to give the idea that my magazine is for teenagers who like this clothing
