 Sam Barstow, President and COO of Forsake, co-founded the company while
studying engineering as an undergrad. His work has taken him from factories in
China to executing a successful Kickstarter campaign to the head buyer’s offices of
national chains. As with any startup, he wears many hats including
managing product development, manufacturing, and logistics as well as co-
developing and executing sales, marketing, and branding efforts.
 Mr. Jay Contessa, CEO of Hex Performance, is a Graduate of Central Connecticut
State University. He has had a diverse executive career bringing new brands &
products to market in his role as Vice President of New Business Development for
Sun Products & Unilever. Jay brought his vast experience and success in building
consumer brands and is focused on building a new business in the cleaning of
today’s high performance gear market.
 Mr. Drew Westervelt, COO & Co-Founder of HEX Performance, is a graduate of
the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and was a standout Lacrosse
player, where in his Senior season he was the country’s 5th
leading goal scorer. In
2012, Drew and his business partners founded HEX Performance and he became
the company’s COO. In addition to his leadership role within HEX, Drew is also a
Professional Lacrosse Player for the Colorado Mammoth in the National Lacrosse
League (NLL) as well as the Chesapeake Bayhawks in the Major Lacrosse League
(MLL).
