5. How did we begin?
• Founded in 1960
• Owned and sponsored by the Missionary Church
Association in Jamaica and key ecumenical
partnerships
• Originally to produce Evangelical and
Pentecostal pastors
• Since the 1980s JTS has branched out
increasingly into fields in the Humanities and
Social Sciences.
