Walk-in-Interview
A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 24.07.2015 for the Post of Assistant Professor (SC)
(Purely Temporary - on contract basis) in the Department of Applied Research, Gandhigram Rural
Institute, Gandhigram. The details about the position, number of post to be filled in and the
qualifications are given below:
Position No. of Post Qualifications
Essential: (i) PG degree in Social Sciences with 50% marks
in the relevant subject
(ii) should have cleared NET/SET
Assistant Professor (SC) 01
(iii) Ph.D. in Social Sciences
(Purely Temporary for Desirable:
i) Minimum of five years experience in
one semester only) teaching, research and extension activities
ii) Publication of books and research articles in
reputed journals
iii) Presented papers in National/International
conferences/seminars/workshops
iv) Ability to organise seminar/workshop
v) Computer knowledge
This appointment is purely temporary and on contract basis against the vacancy of a
Professor Post (SC). If selected, the candidate has to join the department immediately to handle
classes for M.Phil., PG and UG programmes. Salary will be fixed as per the Gandhigram Rural
Institute rules applicable to contract appointment. Interested candidates may attend the interview to
be held on 24.07.2015 at 11.00am in the Department of Applied Research. No TA/DA will be paid
for attending the interview.
