  1. So People might not be coming to Pinterest to search for an apartment, but what are the things on their mind when they are moving? Décor? Moving tips? DIY? Neighborhood Info? Doesn’t it make sense that you be the one providing that info? Capture their attention with this content and establish yourself as the expert
  2. Soon they will be clicking through to your website to see what else you really have to offer. In fact, we’ve seen Pinterest converting at the same rate as our ILS. 111 clicks-3% conver=1 lease ($100k) IN ONE Q GOAL:Establish yourself as a trustworthy source. While we ultimately want renters we believe whole heartedly in the power of eventuality & Brand advocates

  4. Last year Pinterest started offering the option to add maps-Not always relevant, but for building and neighborhood boards this makes perfect sense! They give the pinner a flavor of the neighborhood…isn’t that what you want when you’re moving? Am I the only one that gets on Goodgle street view to see what’s around a place before I visit there? {We added neighborhood pages to our corp site..it made perfect sense to use same photos for neighborhood boards}
  5. Profile Pic recommend 200px x 200px. Add a description to help pinners understand who you are. {Searchable so use keywords-DC/Apartments/residential} Add a location. Verifed website link in your profile. Visit the Pinterest for Business page for step by step. Put your most relevant boards at the top. SAVE
  6. Use clear concise titles and descriptions-searchable. Minimum of 10 pin…if you get up to 100 see if theres a way to break it up. {Recipes=quick breakfasts/top lunches to take to work} Cast a wider net-capture a bigger audience.
  7. Add a map if it makes sense—Add a category—stay away from other. Try architecture. Update cover photo—best landscape…which is weird because the pins are best vertical, but whatever.
  8. Create useful content and entertaining—opening day Infographics quotes and images with text overlay work great when you can clearly convey what the pin is about. Often when pins are re-pinned the descriptions are deleted so this is a great way to communicate properly. 2:3 aspect ratioHigh res 600widex900tall best for mobile
  9. This works better for mobile and holds your eyes longer Vibrant warm colors better than cool colors-use multiple base colors. Pins without Faces are better
  10. Rich Pins provide extra info right on the pin-recipes/articles tips or add Foursquare location for boardmaps You can create rich pins for your available units/with price on it. If someone pins it, if you change the price, they will get a notification. NEVER neglect the the description-200 characters-clear-use keywords | Add CTA|Link back to your website/blog
