songs Task

TASKMy task is to research and listen to three songs that I am interested in. My objective is to not remake
the video that already exists but to create a music video to the song based on the lyrics and a
narrative thought that comes into mind. Part of my research and planning is thinking about the song
content and if it’s appropriate.

Bleedin' on the inside, cryin' on the out
It's only one girl really knows what she's about
Her name is little Stacy and they become friends
Promise that they'll always be tight 'til the end
Until one day, lil' Stacy gets shot
A drive-by bullet went stray up on her block
Now Nicole's stuck up in a world on her own

Little Erica is eleven years old
She's steady tryin' to figure why the world is so cold
So she pops *** to get rid of all the pain
Plus she's havin' sex with her boy who's sixteen
Emotions run deep as she thinks she's in love

Never thinkin' 'bout the consequences of her actions
Livin' for today and not tomorrow's satisfaction
The days go by and her belly gets big
The father bails out, he ain't ready for a kid
Knowin' her momma would blow it all out of proportion
Plus she lives poor, so no money for abortion
Erica is stuck up in a world on her own

I have chosen this song as one of my options because the song content is really good ,
listening to the lyrics without watching the video you can already tell what’s going on, you
can imagine a narrative of some sort. The possibility of performance and narrative is good
because the speed of the song is not to fast you can lip synch to it. This song is important
because it explains some of the things that moms do not understand is going on for
most of the teenage girls out there.

I have chosen this song as one of my options becauseit has a meaning behind it the lyrics
make you think about the artist’s situation; it has a possibility of performance and narrative.
The speed of the song will not affect lip synching because it’s not a fast and up beat song.
There is not any swearing in the song so it’s appropriate for any age group.

I have chosen this song as one of my options because it has a good beat to it, the song is
intresting and has good suitable lyrics for a music video. Its not to fast to lip sync and easy to
go along with it. It has repetition so it would be easy to act it out and make the video.
