songs Task

  1. 1. TASKMy task is to research and listen to three songs that I am interested in. My objective is to not remake the video that already exists but to create a music video to the song based on the lyrics and a narrative thought that comes into mind. Part of my research and planning is thinking about the song content and if it’s appropriate. Runaway LoveYeah and it go a little somethin' like this Yeah and it go a little somethin' like this Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Now little Lisa's only nine years old She's tryin' to figure out why the world is so cold Why she's all alone and they never met her family Momma's always gone and she never met her daddy Part of her is missin' and nobody'll listen Momma's on drugs, gettin' high up in the kitchen Bringin' home men at different hours of the night Startin' with some laughs, usually endin' in a fight Sneakin' in her room when her momma's knocked out Tryin' to have his way and little Lisa says ouch She tries to resist but then all he does is beat her Tries to tell her mom but her momma don't believe her Lisa's stuck up in a world on her own Forced to think that Hell is a place called home Nothin' else to do but get some clothes and pack She says she's 'bout to run away and never come back Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Little Nicole is only ten years old She's steady tryin' to figure why the world is so cold Why she's not pretty and nobody seems to like her Alcoholic step-dad always wanna strike her Yells and abuses, leaves her with some bruises Teachers ask questions, she's makin' up excuses Bleedin' on the inside, cryin' on the out It's only one girl really knows what she's about Her name is little Stacy and they become friends Promise that they'll always be tight 'til the end Until one day, lil' Stacy gets shot A drive-by bullet went stray up on her block Now Nicole's stuck up in a world on her own Forced to think that Hell is a place called home Nothin' else to do but get her clothes and pack She says she's 'bout to run away and never come back Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Little Erica is eleven years old She's steady tryin' to figure why the world is so cold So she pops *** to get rid of all the pain Plus she's havin' sex with her boy who's sixteen Emotions run deep as she thinks she's in love So there's no protection, he's usin' no glove Never thinkin' 'bout the consequences of her actions Livin' for today and not tomorrow's satisfaction The days go by and her belly gets big The father bails out, he ain't ready for a kid Knowin' her momma would blow it all out of proportion Plus she lives poor, so no money for abortion Erica is stuck up in a world on her own Forced to think that Hell is a place called home Nothin' else to do but get her clothes and pack She says she 'bout to run away and never come back Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway love, runaway love Runaway, runaway love Don't keep runnin' away I'll run away with you If you want me to Yeah, I can only imagine what you goin' through, ladies Sometimes I feel like runnin' away myself So do me a favor right now and close your eyes And picture us runnin' away together When we come back, everything is gonna be okay Open your eyes I have chosen this song as one of my options because the song content is really good , listening to the lyrics without watching the video you can already tell what’s going on, you can imagine a narrative of some sort. The possibility of performance and narrative is good because the speed of the song is not to fast you can lip synch to it. This song is important because it explains some of the things that moms do not understand is going on for most of the teenage girls out there.
  2. 2. Because of You- I will not make The same mistakes that you did I will not let myself 'Cause my heart so much misery I will not break The way you did, you fell so hard I've learned the hard way To never let it get that far Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side So I don't get hurt Because of you I find it hard to trust Not only me, but everyone around me Because of you, I am afraid I lose my way And it's not too long before you point it out I cannot cry Because I know that's weakness in your eyes I'm forced to fake A smile, a laugh, every day of my life My heart can't possibly break When it wasn't even whole to start with Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side So I don't get hurt Because of you I find it hard to trust Not only me, but everyone around me Because of you, I am afraid I watched you die, I heard you cry Every night in your sleep I was so young, you should have known Better than to lean on me You never thought of anyone else You just saw your pain And now I cry, in the middle of the night for the same damn thing Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side So I don't get hurt Because of you I find it hard to trust Not only me, but everyone around me Because of you, I am afraid Because of you I tried my hardest just to forget everything Because of you I don't know how to let anyone else in Because of you I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty Because of you, I am afraid Because of you oh ohoh Because of you I have chosen this song as one of my options becauseit has a meaning behind it the lyrics make you think about the artist’s situation; it has a possibility of performance and narrative. The speed of the song will not affect lip synching because it’s not a fast and up beat song. There is not any swearing in the song so it’s appropriate for any age group.
  3. 3. ImpossibleI remember years ago Someone told me I should take Caution when it comes to love I did I did And you were strong and I was not My illusion, my mistake I was careless, I forgot I did Tell them all I know now Shout it from the roof tops Write it on the skyline All we had is gone now Tell them I was happy And my heart is broken All my scars are open Tell them what I hoped would be And now when all is done There is nothing to say You have gone and so effortlessly You have won You can go ahead tell them Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible! Ooh impossible (yeah yeah) Tell them all I know now Shout it from the roof tops Write it on the skyline all we had is gone now Tell them I was happy And my heart is broken All my scars are open Tell them what I hoped would be I remember years ago Someone told me I should take Caution when it comes to love I did Tell them all I know now Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible Falling out of love is hard Falling for betrayal is worse Broken trust and broken hearts I know, I know Thinking all you need is there Building faith on love and words Empty promises will wear I know, I know And now when all is done There is nothing to say And if you're done with embarrassing me On your own you can go ahead tell them Shout it from the roof tops Write it on the skyline All we had is gone now Tell them I was happy And my heart is broken All my scars are open Tell them what I hoped would be Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible Impossible, impossible I remember years ago Someone told me I should take Caution when it comes to love I did I have chosen this song as one of my options because it has a good beat to it, the song is intresting and has good suitable lyrics for a music video. Its not to fast to lip sync and easy to go along with it. It has repetition so it would be easy to act it out and make the video.
