You sweat either to get rid of most of the body heat you contain or due to nerve stimulations. For example, when you sweat while eating something spicy, or when you are nervous, you are sweating due to nerve stimulations while on the other hand if you are using muscles when playing sports on a sunny day. That is when you sweat to get rid of the intense body heat.
Scene 2
Michael: *walks in dark room and gets scared* AAAAAAHHHHH!
*Falls Down* Oh my goodness, I got goose bumps because of you!
Nathan: YOU GOT SCARED!
Michael: NO I DIDN’T!
Nathan: YEAH YOU DID! YOU GOT GOOSE BUMPS! All mammals get goose bumps either when they are scared or cold. Goose bumps are the little bulges produced by the muscles that make your hair stand on end. For other mammals besides humans, it is used when they are scared because when the hair stands on end it makes the animal look bigger which could potentially evade an attack. On the other hand, when they are cold, the hair standing on end acts as insulation.
Michael: Whatever man, let’s go.
Scene 3
Justin: *Starts to work out in the gym. After completing two sit-ups, he steps out of the gym into the cold weather and meets his friends* Hey guys.
Michael: Where were you man?
Justin: You know, I was doing my 600 sit-ups in the gym. *shivers* Wow, it’s cold.
Michael: Dude, you’re shivering like crazy, you were sweating weren’t you?
Justin: How’d you know?
Michael: The first reason is because I saw you come out of the gym. Another reason why is because you seem to be shivering when it is not even that cold. People usually shiver because their body temperature suddenly drops. In an attempt to avoid lowering our body temperature to dangerous levels, our muscles automatically contract and expand quickly, resulting in a shiver. When you went out in the chilly weather, while you were sweating, the sweat cooled off your body which made you shiver.
Justin: So basically, I’m shivering because I’m cold?
Michael: Yeah
Justin: Ok
*Bloopers*
*Credits*
End of Video
