This document outlines the constitution and rules for a fantasy baseball league. It establishes guidelines for roster limits, trading deadlines, draft order randomization, and veto policies. Key points include: teams can keep up to 4 players in 2010 and 6 players in 2011; the trade deadline is August 20th; trades must involve comparable value and can be vetoed if severely imbalanced; and the league manager has veto power for suspicious or rule-violating trades or to maintain competitive balance.
4. The draft order for this ten team league is randomized every year. This is done to prevent “tanking” in the hopes of obtaining a more favorable draft slot.
8. All owners are expected to maintain and update their league rosters.
9.
10. If a trade is made involving a player from a team, at least one player from the other team MUST be included.
11. Trades involving ONLY draft picks WILL be accepted. (Example: Team A trades their 1st Round pick for Team B's 3rd and 4th Round picks).
12.
13. There are NO minimum trading requirements in this league.
14. When an owner rejects or counters a trade offer, he/she should make an effort to post an informative comment regarding the proposal.
15. (Ex: “I’m not interested in trading this player right now.”
16. “I’m not being offered enough in exchange.”)
17.
18. A trade is a potentially league-damaging trade. A trade is considered "league-damaging" if:
19. The trade is so one-sided that the competitive balance of the league is in jeopardy.
20. One of the teams involved in the trade sees NEITHER a present benefit NOR a benefit in the not-to-distant future.
21.
22.
23. If a trade is in clear violation of any of the trading rules provided in this constitution.
24. If an owner makes a mistake while finalizing a transaction (Ex: clicking on the wrong player accidentally), that owner must contact the LM with an email or message dated within 20 minutes of the mistake.League Policies
On most occasions, the LM will establish a poll on the League Page asking for a league vote if policies are to be changed (as well as explaining the reasons for the change). However, on certain occasions, the LM reserves the right to make a policy or rule change if he feels it provides an obvious benefit for the league.
Any rule changes that would take place would be immediately posted on the front of the League Page so that all owners can become familiar with them.
