5. Fibromyalgia - is characterized by chronic widespread pain and allodynia (a
heightened and painful response to pressure). Its exact cause is unknown but is
believed to involve psychological, genetic, neurobiological and environmental factors.
• Sciatica - a set of symptoms including pain that may be caused by general
compression or irritation of one of five spinal nerve roots that give rise to each sciatic
nerve, or by compression or irritation of the left or right or both sciatic nerves.
Symptoms include lower back pain, buttock pain, and pain, numbness or weakness in
various parts of the leg and foot.
• Pinched Nerves - Radiculopathy refers to a set of conditions in which one or more
nerves is affected and does not work properly (a neuropathy). The emphasis is on the
nerve root (radix = "root"). This can result in pain (ridiculer pain), weakness,
numbness, or difficulty controlling specific muscles. Affected nerves may be inflamed,
pinched (compressed), or working ineffectively due to a lack of blood flow. The nerve
could be affected by a progressive disease that is destroying it in part or in whole.
Additionally, pinched nerves can be caused by excessive pressure caused by
surrounding bones, muscle, cartilage, and tendons. The "straight leg raise test" is
often used to diagnose a lumbar or sacral nerve root radiculopathy.

6. Shoulder Pain / Arm Pain / Carpal Tunnel / Wrist Pain
• Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ) - an umbrella term covering pain and dysfunction
of the muscles of mastication (the muscles that move the jaw) and the temporomandibular
joints (the joints which connect the mandible to the skull). The most important feature is pain,
followed by restricted mandibular movement, and noises from the temporomandibular joints
(TMJ) during jaw movement. Although TMD is not life threatening, it can detriment quality of
life, because the symptoms can become chronic and difficult to manage.
• Scoliosis - is a medical condition in which a person's spine is curved from side to side.
Although it is a complex three-dimensional deformity, on an X-ray, viewed from the rear, the
spine of an individual with scoliosis can resemble an "S" or a "C", rather than a straight line
• Restless Leg Syndrome - is a neurological disorder characterized by an irresistible urge to
move one's body to stop uncomfortable or odd sensations. It most commonly affects the legs,
but can affect the arms, torso, head, and even phantom limbs. Moving the affected body part
modulates the sensations, providing temporary relief.
WED/RLS sensations range from pain or an aching in the muscles, to "an itch you can't
scratch", an unpleasant "tickle that won't stop", or even a "crawling" feeling
• Whiplash-Whiplash is a non-medical term describing a range of injuries to the neck caused
by or related to a sudden distortion of the neck associated with extension
• Muscle Spasms - In medicine a spasm is a sudden, involuntary contraction of a muscle, a
group of muscles, or a hollow organ such as a heart, or a similarly sudden contraction of an
orifice. It most commonly refers to a muscle cramp which is often accompanied by a sudden
burst of pain, but is usually harmless and ceases after a few minutes. There is a variety of other
causes of involuntary muscle contractions, which may be more serious, depending on the
cause.
7. Chiropratic
Chiropractors identify and correct the vertebral subluxation
complex in the spinal column. This will free the pressure off
the nerves and allow the Central Nervous System to work
at its best. When every part of the body is receiving clear,
uninterrupted messages from the brain, the body is able to
heal itself much better and function at its’ prime. Even
people who are under medical care from a medical
physician or specialist is able to seek treatment from a
chiropractor.
