2. The Twin Towers
The Twin Towers were the
tallest buildings in New York
City. At 110 stories each,
WTC (North Tower) and 2
WTC (South Tower) provided
nearly 10 million square
feet of office space for about
35,000 people and 430
companies. For a brief period
upon their completion in
1973, they were the tallest
buildings in the world. They
attracted roughly 70,000
commuters and tourists daily.
3. Attacks of september 11
were a series of four coordinated
terrorist attacks launched by the
Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda
upon the United States in New
York City and the Washington,
D.C., metropolitan area on
Tuesday, September 11, 2001.
Suspicion quickly fell on al-
Qaeda. Although the group's
leader, Osama bin Laden, initially
denied any involvement, in 2004,
he claimed responsibility for the
attacks

The World Trade Center
(WTC) was a 16-acre
commercial complex in
lower Manhattan
that contained seven
buildings, a large plaza,
and an underground
shopping mall that
connected six of the
buildings. The
centerpieces of the
complex were the Twin
Towers

Trade Center
The attacks resulted in the deaths of 2,996 people,
including the 19 hijackers and 2,977 victims. The
victims included 246 on the four planes.2,606 in New
York City in the towers and on the ground, and 125
at the Pentagon. Nearly all of the victims were
civilians; 55 military personnel were among those
killed at the Pentagon.

7. Osama bin Laden and al
quaeda
It is a paramilitary organization that uses terrorist
practices. Its founder, leader and largest contributor
was Osama bin Laden jihadi terrorist, a member of
the bin Laden family 19 Al Qaeda militants led by
Egyptian Mohamed Atta conducted on 11-S
(September 11 attack) against the Pentagon and
World Trade Center (WTC). That was the attack
happened in EE. UU. most terrible in the history of
this country, with 3,000 dead.

Four passenger airliners were hijacked by 19 al-Qaeda
terrorists so they could be flown into buildings in suicide
attacks. Two of those planes, American Airlines Flight 11
and United Airlines Flight 175, were crashed into the
North and South towers, respectively, of the World Trade
Center complex in New York City A third plane,
American Airlines Flight 77, was crashed into the
Pentagon
The fourth plane, United Airlines Flight 93, was targeted
at Washington, D.C., but crashed into a field near
Shanksville, Pennsylvania
