Cycling Siem Reap – Phnom Penh Tour
Tour Overview
By bicycle and boat, We will discover Siem Reap with Angkor Temples, Battambang,
Phnom Penh Capital
Tour Itinerary:
Day 01: Siem Reap (No cycling) (D)
Arrive into Siem Reap and transfer to your hotel for check in and resting. In the afternoon
we have an orientation walking tour to explore the town and the Old Siem Riep Market
(Psa Chas). Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 02: Temples of Angkor (B/L) (~20 km cycling)
After breakfast we cycle to the main temple attraction for an extensive exploration of the
magnificent 12th century Angkor Wat. You will realize why this great temple is simply
unsurpassed by any other monument. Continuing down to a little brick temple called
‘Prasat Kravan’ where we will enjoy a lunch in a local restaurant at Srah Srang Village.
Here after we spin through a little unnoticed village to visit ‘Ta Prohm’ (The Jungle
temple). Upon entering via the North Gate, we proceed further to a little sandstone temple
in the jungle called: Ta Nei. Other sights en-route are - Victory Gate and Ghost Gate,
before we return to Siem Reap. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 03: Angkor Thom City (B/L) (Cycling distance approx: 23km)
Today we will start an amazing cycling tour
(23km) on the back and less used roads to
Angkor Thom City. Using this way we get
better and more authentic scenery of the
traditional houses and fascinating architecture
on stills. We visit the impressive West gate
where our local guide will tell the interesting
tales of the history once prevailed here.
Continuing to the Bayon Temple (216 faces of
Buddha), The Terrace of Elephants and ending
the spin at the terrace of The Leper King,
before cycling back to hotel via the South gate of Angkor Thom. An intriguing tour that
set the scenery from a slightly different angle. The afternoon you will take it easy by
walking to the Siem Reap market for shopping or relax at the hotel. Overnight in Siem
Riep.

Day 04: Siem Reap / Battambang by boat (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to Siem Reap boat ferry for departure to Battambang. We will
take our private wooden boat up the river and it will take us 06 hour to reach to
Battambang. Upon arrival Battambang, our boat land at Pro Houk market about 20km
away and we take a cycling tour to down town with a break to visit Wat Ek Phnom
temple. Please note that in Battambang, we will use local bikes for cycling just for funs,
not professional ones. Overnight in Battambang.
Day 05: Battambang / Phnom Penh (B/L)
In the morning visit bamboo train village with a great experiences of sliding on this funny
train and from there transfer by road to Phnom Penh. Overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.
Day 06: Phnom Penh (Cycling distance approx: 45km) (B/L)
This morning, your guide will lead on bike to the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and
National museum, then continue your way to Wat Phnom. Afternoon, you ride to
Cheoung Ek, more commonly known as the 'Killing The ‘Killing Fields’ are where Toul
Sleng prisoners were forcibly marched and then executed; it is now a memorial site
located in a beautiful tranquil setting (a visit to the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum on the
way to the ‘Killing Fields’ is an option). Overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.
Day 07: Phnom Penh Departure (B)
Free at leisure then transfer to the Phnom Penh international airport for departure.
Trip Notes:
What to bring: You should take passport with valid visa, sun glasses, sun cream, hat or
cap and insect repellent. Bottled water, toiletries, first – aid kits are also very necessary
during the trip. Cash is always necessary during the biking trip.
Dressing up: Casual clothes or uniform for biking with biking shoes are advisable
Cuisines: Meals will be served in local restaurant at certain stop and time with the
guidance of our tour guide.
Length of trip: This is a gentle 40 kilometers follows paved roads, some dirt roads, and
is suitable for anyone that can ride a bike. The roads are flat, quiet countryside trails pass
by many local communities.
Riding as a team: We ride as a group, with an experienced cycle guide setting a gentle
pace. Stopping often to visit points of interest, we also take the opportunity to sample
some of the local food. Our support vehicle follows close behind with plenty provisions.
