The 10 Best Flash Games
1. 10 Best Flash Games Discover the best free online games of all time to play right from your PC.
2. #10 Robot Unicorn Attack Race through a mythical and inspiring land of imaginary Unicorns. Make your 3 wishes come true. It's Robot Unicorn Attack from Adult Swim, the game where you race a magical robotic unicorn across a purple landscape and smash stars before they can smash you. The game does all the running for you. All your hooves have to do is tap [Z] to jump, tap it again to double-jump, and tap [X] to perform a dash attack that will break through stars. While in mid-air, you can actually hold [Z] after you've jumped to glide majestically for a bit. Avoid running into obstacles, and falling into the fathomless pit that is the magical robot unicorn realm, and collect floating... fairy... things for points. There's no real pay-off for your glorious stampede other than increasingly bigger numbers and the knowledge that you've just spent minutes you'll never get back listening to Erasure. Ridiculous? Absolutely. Alright, so it's essentially Canabalt with a robot unicorn, and sometimes a robot dolphin.
3. #9 Red Remover If the blocks are light red, no problem, just click once and they're history! However, blocks of a deeper crimson hue are not fooled by your clever mouse-wrangling. Yes, there is gravity. Oh, is there ever gravity! Each shape has its own orientation, indicated by the direction its face, er, ...faces. It's a little bit disorienting at first to have blocks fall in four different directions, but it becomes quite natural after a few levels, and Gaz puts this twist to good use in his level designs, which are for the most part solid. As a result, the 40 levels go by faster than you might expect if you've played those previous games. By beating every level in par and in bonus mode, you gain access to 5 bonus levels, a mere crumb for your efforts. Luckily, Gaz has also included a level editor, so you can make your own levels and share them with other Red Remover fans. Aside from the brevity and a one-step-too-many level reset procedure, there's little to find fault with in Red Remover.
4. #8 Grow RPG Another one of my favorite games gets an update! Grow has to be one of the best Flash games ever. Created by ON of Eyezmaze, the original Grow game is a brilliant and original puzzle game in which the player drags items, one-by-one, in a chosen sequence to a large red sphere. Every item has rules with which it levels-up and interacts with the other items. Fascinating animations unfold as each item 'grows'. The game is played exactly as before: Simply drag the items onto the large green "GROW" sphere. The order you choose determines your success in defeating the flying winged devil.
5. #7 Shopping Cart Hero 2 This is sequel to very popular Shopping Cart Hero 2 Game. Again, your task is to fly as far as you can with your shopping cart. You more money for your jumps and you can spend them on upgrading your cart. Press the RIGHT ARROW KEY to run, press UP ARROW KEY at the right time to get into the shopping cart/jump. Then in the air use LEFT and RIGHT ARROW KEYS to balance. Good luck!
6. #6 Fragger: Lost City Fragger is back! New locations aside, Fragger Lost City is still the same Fragger people keep coming back to. This latest chapter features a new set of 30 grenade-tossing, physics-based levels with different backgrounds, layouts, and puzzles. Three levels of difficulty (Normal, Hard, and Elite) add some unlockablereplayability, with later levels granting the ability to throw multiple grenades at a time. There's even a fun Plinko-type level that fans should really enjoy.
7. #5 Gunbot Look out, Axe Cop, there's a new weapon on the streets, Gunbot. With guns. Gunbot is a platform shooter from Berzerk Studio where you'll do the usual robot stuff, like collecting stars and shooting dinosaurs. You'll control Gunbot with the keyboard and fire with the mouse. Your foes also drop money which you'll use to buy guns. The guns have different stats and features like tri-shot or bouncing projectiles. Not that the plot matters, but that's part of the fun of Gunbot along with the running, jumping and gunning. Analysis: Gunbot is fun all the way around. The difficulty stays at a nice level all the way through. If you ever hit a snag, you can always go back to a level to get some more money and get yourself a bigger gun. Gunbot and the still-image cut-scenes look good, but the levels are pretty bland. Shoot with your mind.
8. #4 Crush the Castle: Players Pack There's something satisfying on a primal level about rampaging through a playground, kicking over the painstakingly built castles of sand and blocks while their toddler creators shriek in the background, their impotent fury the perfect orchestral accompaniment to your mastery over the destruction. The Players Pack is made for fans, by fans. While some of them have presented us with straight-forward levels, there are still a surprising number of castles which more closely resemble lovingly made Goldberg machines, brought down by a chain reaction from a single precise hit. The physics here are still decent, but a little shaky. I don't know, it does make the job easier, but it also makes me wonder if maybe their castles would be better defended if they'd stop hiring people made out of spun glass and childrens' wishes. If you're a fan of the original, you'll probably enjoy the Players Pack as an extension of the gameplay, but you may be disappointed by the lack of any real major additions to the game.
9. #3 Line Rider Beta 3 The classic line drawing game continues, but this time you can have another rider. That's right Line Rider Beta 3 was just announced, apparently rather then taking a slide down the windy, twisted hills drawn by your very own hand, you get to take a partner! This is the latest version of the line game! Grab a friend while your at it, both you two can hit it up, run to the slopes and take a sleigh ride like never before!
10. #2 Bloons Tower Defense 4 Cats vs. dogs, lions vs. hyenas, Hatfields vs. McCoys, monkeys vs. balloons— what, you didn't know monkeys and balloons were natural enemies? Well, only that NinjaKiwi's Bloons Tower Defense 4 is here at last, stepping over Bloons Tower Defense 3 and adding much more of everything we love! There is a path. Why, put towers along the path to combat the balloons. And by towers we mean, of course, monkeys. Well, mostly monkeys. Each balloon you pop brings in money which can be spent on different towers or upgrading the towers to make them more deadly to the evil balloons. The dart monkey can shoot darts at the oncoming balloons, but only pop one at a time. However, the humble dart monkey can be upgraded to pop more balloons, to move faster, cover more area, etc. Returning are familiar defenses such as the dart monkey, the tack tower, boomerang monkey, super monkey and plenty more, each with its own battery of improvements. Graphics have improved tremendously, especially with the new monkey ace and monkey buccaneer towers. The new upgrades are fabulous, especially the fifth level upgrades.
11. #1 Super Mario Bros. Crossover Super Mario Bros. Crossover is a massive dose of NES nostalgia. Dropping half a dozen NES-era characters and their unique abilities into the familiar world of the original Super Mario Bros. game, Super Mario Bros. Crossover weaves familiar gaming icons into a new product, allowing you to play an old game in several very unique ways. Great care was taken with Super Mario Bros. Crossover to make sure each character's unique abilities fit into this goomba-infested world. Super Mario Bros. Crossover is quite the opposite, gathering a number of characters with unique abilities and adapting them perfectly to Mario's platforming universe. Unique character abilities is at once the game's biggest strength and its chief drawback. Super Mario Bros. Crossover uses ripped sprites and music from six games released by major development studios. We know how to play Mega Man. We know how to play Super Mario Bros.
