1. Position Profile
Transmission System Expert
Seeking a Transmission System Expert to realize the matching design of transmission system, solve the long-
standing quality issues of transmission system components
Contract Term: 5 yrs with potential to renew
Location: Asia
Target companies: Tier One Suppliers
Responsibilities:
Review of transmission system products design optimization scheme
Verification of transmission system product design drawings
Verifying transmission system products through test to meet the functional and performance requirements
(correspondence impact between bench test and vehicle road test, validation specifications of bench test)
Grasp the structure of transmission system product and processing technology procedures
Understand the failure modes of transmission system product and development of preventive and corrective
actions
Promoting technician expertise
Responsible for settlement of chassis comprehensive issues which are related to transmission system (such as
gear noise, final drive abnormal sound, gear abnormal wear, starting noise etc)
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors
Professional: Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Design etc related professionals
10+ years working experience in automobile technology required
Strong organization and coordination abilities
Skills Requirements:
A. Resource management ability, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills, code of conduct
B. Post Skills:
1) With a rich design experience of automobile components, have engaged in design of transmission
system project experience
2) Proficient in design software, familiar with automobile design and development process and
methodologies
3) With strong project coordination and technology management capacity
4) Understanding of automobile transmission technology and its development trends
C. Tool Skills:
1) Design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA): familiar with general failure modes and failure
mechanism of products, able to find root problems and develop appropriate solutions
2) Design of experiment (DOE): familiar with DOE concept, fully understanding the orthogonal
experimental design
3) CAD: mastering CAD two-dimensional operations, CATIA 3D modeling basic operations
