Support and information for kids going through divorce
1. DIVORCED
KIDS
A website that helps kids going and growing through
divorce.
2. DIVORCED KIDS IS A WEBSITE WHERE KIDS CAN GO
IF THEY ARE GOING OR HAVE BEEN THROUGH A
DIVORCE.
It was created for kids that need help and support
while or after their parents go through divorce. On
this website, there is information on divorce as well
as inspirational quotes. Divorced Kids also sells
necklaces and bracelets, and the profits go to the
Sand Castles Program, that is working on helping
kids of divorce as well.

3. DIVORCED KIDS
Divorced Kids is an ongoing
website that lets kids
communicate with me and ask
me questions about divorce. It
also shows inspirational quotes
for the children to follow.
Divorced Kids started as a good
idea for a school project but then
it became a website and
business. I hope Divorced Kids
some day becomes national and
that children of divorce around
the world enjoy it.
4. Charitable Organization: Sand Castles
Website: SandCastlesprogram.com

During the three and a half hour one time group session for children
of divorce between the ages of six and seventeen, this program helps kids with
confidence, hope and community skills. It lets them know they are not alone,
and that is normal to feel anxious, angry, sad and confused. The Sand Castles
program is a nationally recognized program that helps children cope with
divorce. A child may also feel responsible for the divorce, and feel unsure of the
future. Also, Sand Castles empowers kids to see their unique qualities and
strengths. It also shows the children they can and do live happily after divorce.
5. I created both necklaces and bracelets with
positive messages on them for children of
divorce, to remind them that they are not
alone, nor are they the only ones going
through divorce. They did not choose divorce
and had no say in the decisions that brought
divorce to their family. My jewelry costs $1
per bracelet and $2 per necklace. The
proceeds will all go to Sand Castles.
6. HOW MANY FIRST MARRIAGES END
IN DIVORCE
divorce
50% of marriages end in
divorce. And, 25% of second
marriages end in divorce.
40% of children in the United
States
are growing up in the
absence of their fathers. Of
divorced
families in fatherless
married homes, 85% of children from
these
split families have behavioral
issues. Some even are
homeless or runaways.
