3.  Next, the transaction is submitted to the
acquiring processor ElitePay Global, with
the firm routing data associated with the
transaction to an association such as
MasterCard or Visa. The association then
routes the transaction to the issuer and
facilitates exchange completion. The
acquiring processor is credited for the full
transaction amount, with an interchange
fee subtracted. With the cardholder’s
account charged by the issuer, the
acquiring processor credits this amount to
the account of the merchant customer.

4.  The money typically appears within one
to two days of the association settling
the transaction. Finally, the merchant is
billed on a monthly basis by ElitePay
Global for the “discount rate,” which
encompasses interchange and
processing fees.
