2. Aim
• To provide an overview of the epidemiology of early life environmental
risk factors for allergic sensitisation
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the lecture you will:
– Understand the influence of environmental risk factors over the
prevalence for allergic diseases in the world
– Learn that there are many problems to stablish a proper
epidemiology for allergic sensitisation
– Know the importance of prevention and it’s promising impact on
allergic diseases
