An Energetic, Rejuvenated Smile – Dental (teeth) Braces; a permanent solution to
unaligned/twisted/gapped teeth & abnormal bites – by Dr. Bhalla Clinic.
2. INTRODUCTION
In Dentistry (Orthodontics), the dentists fix
anomalies of misaligned or occluded teeth
via the device called “Dental Braces” – to
clamp the teeth firmly to give them necessary
support until they get fixed.
Simply leads to - A better Repositioning of Teeth & Beautiful Smile back
to your oral health, avoiding any unexpected oral problems to strike as
consequence.
Furthermore, Teeth Braces also fix the abnormal bites (overbites, cross
bites, under bites etc.) with the twisted or gapped teeth or any other
defects associated with the teeth or jaw.
3. Unaligned Teeth Lead To - Many
Dental Problems
Distorted teeth do not only affect an aesthetic
appearance, but they may also create
unnecessary medical irregularities with
more degraded oral problems.
Unhealthily brushed or flossed crooked teeth
would cause tart/plaque onto your teeth. If
remained untreated, it may lead to tooth cavity,
bacteria invasion & much deteriorated oral
health.
With your misaligned teeth, you may feel
difficulty in chewing and this thus may cause
indigestion of food.
4. Types of Dental Braces - How They
Work:
There are many types of Teeth Braces largely available in
market. The pattern of your irregular teeth bite will
accurately define the type of dental braces your teeth
require.
Now, Dental braces are comfortable and better in
appearance.
Traditional Metal Braces: Most commonly used teeth
braces, are metal wires (arch wire) that would fasten
the small metal brackets attached to the teeth. Rubber
bands, often called ligatures, are also used to apply
more pressure on teeth by simply being tied with the
brackets.
Porcelain Dental Braces: Transparent in color, made
up of compound of glass sort and would give luminous
look

Stainless Steel Braces: Usually made up of
stainless steel and are often overlapped with
gold
Lingual Braces: Just like traditional metal
braces that are placed at back of the teeth to
remain hidden
Small Braces: Little braces in size, yet effective
Detachable Braces: Sorts of braces that can
usually be removed in less time than that
required by corrected braces
Artistic Braces: Suiting to today’s trend
especially for adolescents, these braces are
introduced and widely used. Glow nighttime and
are available in different colors.
6. How Long Do the Teeth Braces Stay
On?
“Corrected Braces” usually remain on teeth for about two-
year period, whereas “Removable Braces” will perhaps go for
up to one year, may be less or more than that. Once out of
due bracing period, they are uninstalled and teeth are
replaced with Retainer.
“Orthodontic Retainer” helps in settling down your newly
adjusted teeth on their proper positions as stable as required,
adapting well with jawbones and surrounded soft tissues.
This will go off your teeth after around one year or less or
more than that as decided by your orthodontist.
Should all be very appreciable (no matter if procedure takes a
bit longer time), exclusively when it comes to seeing yourself
back with an energetic, glittering smile and high self-
confidence the way you have ever expected!
