This list includes all centers in Cambridge that are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early
Education and Care (EEC) and serve the general public. Child care centers are licensed to provide care for
specific age groups, defined as follows:
Infant: birth to 14 months
Toddler: 15 months to 2.8 years (meaning 2 years, 8 months)
Preschooler: 2.9 years (2 years, 9 months) to 6.0 years (6 years, 0 months)
School Age: Kindergarten (generally 5 years) and older
