- és considerat el més important dels pintors de grafit dels anys vuitanta Keith Haring
- Va néixer al 1958 als Estats Units . De petit dibuixava inspirant-se en els dibuixos que veia a la televisió.
- Al 1978 es trasllada a Nova York i estudia a l’Escola d’Arts Visuals. Fa grafits a les estacions de metro, dibuixa amb retolador negre gruixut o amb guix blanc sobre el fons fosc dels cartells publicitaris.
- Les seves fonts d’inspiració són l’art

- esquimal
- maia
- aborigen
- i la cal·ligrafia xinesa
- La iconografia senzilla dels seus dibuixos inclou nadons gatejant
- animals
- figures ballant
