Gary Herman is responsible for the Information Services
function at Unified Grocers.
During his tenure at Unified, Gary has led the successful
systems integration in support of the 1999 merger between
United Grocers and Certified Grocers of California, as well as
the integration of systems resulting from Unified’s acquisition
of Associated Grocers, Seattle, Wash., in 2007. Under Gary’s
direction, Unified maintains state-of-the-art Logistics Systems
and an extranet that ties together the Company’s vendors,
buyers and retail members with a focus on new items, cost
changes and deals.
Education: Gary has a Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University
(Oxford, Ohio), with a major in Finance, and a Masters of
Management degree from Northwestern University.
