Law Updates:
 In line with market expectations, RBI governor Raghuram Rajan kept
the repo rate unchanged at 6.75%. The cash reserve ratio (CRR) or the
amount of deposits banks park with RBI has also been unchanged at 4
per cent.

securities and Holding of specified securities in dematerialized form.
 SEBI notified the Manner of achieving minimum public shareholding

 SEBI notified Guidelines regarding Issue of No Objection Certificate for
release of 1% of issue amount.
 SEBI issued Guidelines regarding Non-compliance with certain
provisions of Listing Regulations and Standard Operating Procedure for
suspension and revocation of trading of specified securities

R. C. Bhargava
Chairman of Maruti Suzuki
Mr. R. C. Bhargava (born 30 July 1934) is the former C.E.O and
current chairman of Maruti Suzuki, one of the largest automobile
manufacturers in India.
Early life
Bhargava joined Maruti in 1981, almost immediately after its
incorporation, as its Marketing Director. A former IAS officer, Bhargava has also served as the President
and CEO of RCB Consulting Private Limited, a premier management and human resource consultancy
firm. Before joining Maruti, Bhargava was Director (Commercial) of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited in
1979-80.
Education
Bhargava was educated at The Doon School, Allahabad University and Williams College, Massachusetts.
Mr. Bhargava's Education Details are: Indian Administrative Services (1st in batch), Master of Sciences in
Mathematics from Allahabad University, Master of Arts in Developmental Economics from Williams
College, Williams Town, MA, USA .
Career
Mr. R. C. Bhargava serves as the Chairman of the Board at Maruti Suzuki India Limited. Mr. Bhargava
joined Maruti in 1981 and is widely regarded as instrumental for the success of Maruti. He is also on the
Board of Directors of a number of leading companies in India. These include Grasim Industries, UltraTech
Cement Company, Aditya Birla Sun Life Asset Management Company, Polaris Software Lab, Optimus
Global Services, Infrastructure and Financial Services Limited, Dabur Industries, Idea Cellular, Thomson
Press and Taj Asia. He also serves on the Indian Advisory Boards of BAE Systems Ltd, Rio Tinto, Huawei
and Hitachi Ltd. Mr. Bhargava strongly believes that trust building is much needed in LocalCircles India's
local communities as well as businesses. He also serves as a Member of Advisory Board at LocalCircles
India Pvt. Ltd.
