1. Develop the Aspherical Limits of a Dome Shaped Actuator Use Zernike Polynomials to express the shape. Since these polynomials are common in optics, they are readily available outputs on test equipment(optical profilometers) Measure prototype domes and generate distributions of Zernike polynomials that describe the current process Build Geometry in SolidWorks based on Zernike Polynomials. Then, bring into Comsol and calculate functional expectations Measured Zernike Coefs Estimate Deflection/Volt and Compliance of Actuator SolidWorks dome
