service Bitly ends up having its users’
account credentials compromised.
As per the update from the company’s Blog,
users’ email addresses, passwords, OAuth
tokens and API keys have been hacked.
However, Bitly has not yet confirmed about
any suspicious login attempt without
permission.

3. For security purpose, Bitly has sent e-mails
from its official domain ‘bitlysupport.com’
that includes few necessary steps to help
users secure their accounts.
Due to this hack, Bitly users’ Facebook and
Twitter credentials might have got
compromised as well. So, as a precautionary
measure, Bitly advises its users to
disconnect their Facebook and Twitter
accounts and re-connect them
