PHILIPPE STARCK
Philippe Starck is a French designer born in Paris, France in January
1949 specializing in the New Design style. He designs full spaces and
individual products. He started young taking apart machinery that his
father worked on and put the pieces back together how he saw fit.
Starck did not have many friends growing up so his design hobby
became a big part of his life so he could escape to his own world.
Starck’s philosophy was that good design should not just be
expensive but should be for everyone. Starck started his own
company in 1979 called Starck Products and got his first big break in
1982 when the French president asked Starck to design his private
