3. IDEOLOGY: Punks do not want to be controlled by the police, the government or religion, that is to say, they want to live in Anarchy, with freedom and independence. They have a motto: “ Do it by yourself”.
4. THE LOOK: They wear colored hair crests in the memory of Mohican tribes, which lived without any authority, and with equal rights for every person in the tribe. They usually wear chains to protest against rules, because they limit your freedom.
5. They also wear militar boots to ridicule the army, because they hate it. They never wear trendy and expensive clothes from companies like Nike, because they are anticapitalist.
6. MUSIC: Some of the most important punk bands are The Clash, Sex Pistols and The Ramones (they started the punk movement). Two punk anthems are: “Anarchy in the U.K.” by Sex Pistols, and “Should I stay or should I go” by The Clash.
7. PUNKS IN SOCIETY: People are scared of punks, because they do not understand their behaivour and their way of thinking. People believe they are dirty and violent, but they are only protesting and giving their opinion of the world by using their look.
