Start with who you are and what you stand for. Create a
couple of paragraph statements as if its your own elevator
pitch. What you’ll be known for and know why its important
to your prospects and customers.
Become a trusted source and back up your expertise with
support from other sources.
Look at Simon Sinek’s “why” video from his TED talk. Your
why will inspire others into action. You can use “I believe in”
type sentences. This will become your guide to your
content. Become passionate about what you do best and
let other people know that.

Build your digital footprint and be a part of as many
channels as possible. Be everywhere so you are visible.
Every channel has its own culture, etiquette and tone. “To
be interesting, be interested.” Here are a few places to
begin, make sure you have a good headshot and some
imagery to display on what your about.

be effective. Also, learn how to use your “curation” skills.

shows and networking events. Ask others in your industry
who they think are thought leaders.
Share and write about their content. Like their fan pages,
share their blog posts and write about them. Grow your
audience, be engaging and listen for insights that may help
you convert more business.

Be wise about what you publish and write about. Once it’s
out there, it can live there forever. There’s a fine line
between what’s personal and what’s business content when
your branding yourself and in today’s digital age, there’s
