The iPod
 Jonathan Ive is a British designer and the Senior
Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple Inc.
He is internationally renowned as the principal
designer of the iMac, aluminum and titanium
PowerBook G4, MacBook, unibody MacBook Pro,
  iPod and iPhone.
 Collaborating with manufacturing, software,
hardware and electronic teams, he did just that,
creating the iconic, bestselling iPod. In 2005, he
designed Apple’s iPod nano, and in 2007, the
  iPhone.
VACCINES IN PLANTS
 In 2004 at st.George's hospital scientists grow
  vaccines in plants
 St. George’s Hospital Medical School, London, is
working with a pan-European consortium to grow
vaccines against rabies and Aids in genetically
  modified plants.
 Many vaccines have had remarkable success in
fighting disease, but they are expensive to
manufacture – often prohibitively expensive. It is
hoped that the new technology will drastically
  reduce the costs.
Self-heating baby bottle
 Jim Shaikh wasn’t hit on the head with an idea of
a self- heating baby bottle. Jim came up with the
identified need, while going through a mundane
daily experience himself – feeding his premature
baby at night. He kept getting the temperature of
the bottle wrong – heating, cooling and re-
  heating.
 It took Jim four prototypes to finally get the
product right and the rest as they say is awesome
  British inventions history.
Portable water filtration jug
 Michael Pritchard came up with a literally life-saving
product while watching images of the Tsunami
devastation on television. The thought of people dying
because they lack clean drinking water agitated him.
 LifeSaver, his product, is described as the world’s first
portable nano-filtration technology. It is simply a water
jug with a built-in filtration device designed to help
people during calamities. Currently, LifeSaver, like
other British inventions, is also used in the military and
for leisure activities – like traveling and camping trips.
Spill-free dog bowl
 The product generated interest at a trade show
and encouraged Natalie Ellis to enter a women’s
invention competition where she received three
awards. Her product was featured on BBC news
and on the reality television show, “Dragons Den”.
 Road Refresher(another man) then became the
fastest selling dog bowl in America on
  Amazon.com. President Barack Obama even
  owns one.
Conclusion
 There are a lot of different inventions
  even nowadays.
 They are very interesting, but mostly we
CAN imagine our life without them.
 It means that we have already have all
  the necessary things.
